We just got back from a short 3day get away to Helen, Ga (only about 2hr drive for us). We LOVE going to Helen and try to go several times a year we even try to sneek in a trip just me and Hubby but with 5 kids that is VERY rare.... anywhoo...this is our trip to Helen.
On the way up we always have to stop at Babyland General Hospital (you know where the Cabbage Patch babies are born).
Cabbage Patch babies everywhere.....I think mine are the cutest though.....
Playing in the CPK playground...............
This is the cabin we stayed in...it was nice and near a fun creek we will definitely go back here again!
The kiddos showing of their newly adopted babies while they were swinging on the front porch of the cabin.....
The kids fed the trout...you could actually see them jumping up out of the water and some of them were HUGE!
Went into the town of Helen, which I just LOVE going to all the shops. Of course the Hansel and Gretel's Candy Kitchen and the Music Box are 2 of my faves!! The kids were window shopping.....(at the candy store)
We had lunch at the Troll Tavern right on the River. You can see everybody tubing by (after seeing some of them....well MOST of them get stuck and a few were quite HILARIOUS! I will NOT do that to myself or my children....lol). The food was DELISH! and the kids meals were HUGE! Our waitress was nice enough to take our pic so we actually have one of the whole crew!
After lunch we found this creek....well we have passed this many times on our past visits, but took the time to actually find out how to get to it, it was sooo much fun!!
One of all the Kiddo's...sorry didn't realize I had cut Hubby's head off until after the fact....ooops! Little bit was getting very tired and was sooo NOT thrilled with the camera at this point.
This was sooooo beyond funny to me....my Hubby had broke the flip flop (which was our daughters and too small to begin with) anyway he was trying to get out of the creek without totally loosing B's flip flop or his balance for that matter....good thing because he had Little bit in his arms... maybe you had to be there but trust me.....I almost fell laughing soooo hard at him!
After we played in the creek they ate their Carmel and Candy apples (made with Granny Smith's....the best!)
Back at the Cabin the boys went fishing, and the girls played in the creek, we cooked out for dinner and played games and ended the night with yummmy cupcakes! We had lots of family fun!! No TVs, radios, or computers ( I did cheat and send a couple of pics to FB and my parents via my cell phone)....Can't wait to go again!! When IHF takes their next break we should be back from our Beach Vacation.... to see more vacation photo stories check out http://www.ihearfaces.com/
