This week at over at SMALL TALK SIX, Today’s topic is “6 of the worst lies you’ve ever told.” Okay with that being said....most of my "fibs" were when I was younger and probably still living at home with my parents...and to tell you the truth I am not to sure I want to post them today....you see my Mom and Dad read my Blog....and I am not quite sure I want to go there....but I will try;
1. Like I said this was when I was like 20 maybe 21, I had a problem with cutting my ankle while shaving and I always had a band-aid over it....well actually I had gotten a tattoo and it had a guys name on it and I hid it from my parents for quite some time...since then it has been changed and the name is off! My Parents still like to tell this one!
2. Oh!! my sister and I went on a double date a few 15+ years ago....minus Hubby's and children of course...and we were fighting over who was the "sickest" so we could just go home. ahhhh....what memories....lol
3. I have told my "Outlaws" that I have not felt well...to get out of going to their house.....hey..... they smoke like freight trains and my nose and allergies just can not take it....besides I do not want my children or myself to inhale all that nasty smoke or want to smell that way either....sorry that's how I feel!
4. Okay who has NOT lied about their weight???? and until I reach my goal I will continue to tilt the scales in my favor....
5. I have not answered my home or cell phone, just because I didn't want to talk to anyone..... and then told them I was not home and my cell phone must have been on silent.....and they didn't leave a message, soooo it couldn't have been that important right???
6. I have not told the entire truth when I come home with lots and lots of bags from the stores....Okay it was not ALL on sale...I have a problem....I am a shopaholic and I admit this....

I am with you on the shopping! My husband is always amazed when I come home with 3 outfits and only spent $50.
#6 , i have done that many times . I dont like this theme this week, you know when you really think about there is alot of little white lies.
I've used the phone on silent reason a couple of times. The band-aid over tattoo is hilarious.
Yes, I have a problem with shopping + lying too. I don't know why. It just happens.
I can totally relate to #3. I've already told my MIL that my children already know that smoking is a horrible thing, so she should just not do it around them to spare me the agony of having to explain why their own grandmother would be doing such a bad thing. ;P
And I just wanted to add "YAY for caller I.D." and "Girl, stuff all the bags into one big bag and put something on top for him." ;P
How long did you hide the tattoo from your parents?! Don't you love caller id?

I completely forgot about my tattoos. I have two (one since I was 18) that my parents still don't know exist! Isn't it sad that even as an adult I worry that they would freak out?
I rarely answer my phones either! I always turn the ringers off b/c then i don't have to lie...I really didn't hear it ring! lol Great list! Too funny about the double date! lmao
