Today the kids were invited to my Mom and Dad's Church. They were having what they call F.R.O.G.'S, which stands for; FULLY RELY ON GOD. They meet once a month. My friend Ann sets everything up every month...lunch, Bible lesson, and a craft or two....
Today they had; hot dogs, chips and yummy oooey gooey s'mores (my Mom and Dad sponsored this month) That is my Dad giving horns to Nono (that he truly deserves...lol) as he is shows off his s'more (above top left).
They also made popcorn hands with spider rings. That is my Mom above top middle getting some lovin' from Princess KK. Krissy showing her popcorn hand above bottom left, KK just posing by the cute mural in the nursery, and then Bekka Boo holding Brayden (she loves babies...just like her Mom...lol)
My Mom prepared an "object lesson". It was really neat....The pumpkin represented a person, you can't really tell what is on the inside....She compared the lives of a sinner to a pumpkin that is filled with yucky stuff and with Jesus in your heart he takes all your sins away (scraped out the pumpkin) and then with Jesus in our hearts we can let him shine through our lives (put a candle in the pumpkin and shown how the light shines through. Then she had everyone sing, "This Little Light of Mine" and then she said a prayer asking God to shine through each one of them throughout their lives.....It was pretty awesome, she had every one's attention except for one (yes and it happened to be MINE... well she is only 3 yrs and is technically too young), but she did bow her head and close her eyes during the prayer (above collage on bottom right), now how sweet is that???? I LOVE LOVE LOVE to see a child pray!! It has got to be the sweetest thing ever!!
After the story they all made pumpkin magnets and they turned out pretty stinkin' cute... My four (of five) had to show off all their goodies to their Gan. Gan in turn gave them all the left over s'mores (YAY ME......NOT!!). We ALWAYS have soooo much fun when Gan and Grandma are involved!!! They go ALL out when they are doing things for kids especially their Grand kids.....
